The SSGS Covid Sub-Committee met last week to discuss the possibility of holding the above event at Duff House Royal on 6th & 7th May, taking into account the restrictions that will be in place at that time.
Unfortunately, we have made the decision to cancel the event. Whilst travelling may be allowed, there will still be significant restrictions on indoor hospitality affecting clubhouse, restaurants, and bars etc. In addition, entry numbers were significantly lower than normal, which seems to reflect member’s reluctance to travel and stay over at this moment in time.
We appreciate that this decision will be a disappointment to many of you, and you can be assured the decision was not taken lightly.
Any member who has paid their entry fee for this event, will have these funds carried forward for their future use. If, however, you wish a refund please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
The season will therefore commence with the President & Vice Presidents Cup at Ladybank Golf Club on 20th & 21st May. Closing date for entries is 20th April, although late entries will be accepted after that date, provided maximum field of 129 not exceeded at closing date. Further information regarding this event will be published on website, and Facebook in due course.
Here's hoping that from Ladybank onwards our schedule of events will proceed without any more interruptions.
