Winter Events 2020/21:
We are once again running a series of 1 day, 18-hole Stableford events (Non-Qualifying) with 2 events in October 2020 and 4 events late Feb and March 2021. The format will be as previous years, with the Winter Order of Merit being won by the player with the highest aggregate points scored from 4 out of 6 competitions. Handicap allowance will be 3/4.

Cost is £20 per event and payment is by bank transfer to SSGS bank account at time of entry (if not in credit).
Entries will be accepted on a first come basis. Estimated max players per event circa 50.

5th - 16 points
6th to 20th place onward points decrease by 1 Less than 30 players points will be reduced accordingly.

Summary 2018/19
STUART MCKENDRICK wins 2018/19 Winter Order of Merit in the closest finish yet to any Winter series.
There was a tight finish to this years Order of Merit with less than 4 points covering the top 4 after the 4 counting events. In the end Stuart McKendrick with 4 consistent finishes pipped Tom McLevy by less than 1 point and Neil McGarva beat Norman Dyce into 4th place by the same margin. Keith Ross finished in 5th place with another good finish at Prestwick St Cuthbert. For full OOM table CLICK HERE

Summary 2017/18
NEISH CHISHOLM WINS WINTER OOM
With 4 out of 8 of this years events cancelled the SSGS winter events Order of Merit went to 3 counting events out of 4 with the final event at Prestwick St Cuthbert last a Friday.
This led to the closest finish we have had with 4 points covering the top 3 players. The winner was Neish Chisholm who is the most enthusiastic and well travelled member of the Society , Neish had a consistent season with 3 top 5 finishes in the counting events well done Neish.
In 2nd place 1.6 points behind was Drew Wilson (St Andrews New) who pipped Prestwick St Cuthbert winner Kevin McCarthur (St Andrews) by 2.2 points in fourth place was Ian McKerron (The Grange).

2016/17 SUMMARY
After a close call in last years (2015/16) Order of Merit, this year (2016/17) George Barrie (Callander) was a clear winner this year with 5 excellent counting events.
With a 4th place finish at Prestwick St Cuthbert Philip Hendry (Alloa) jumped into 2nd place above Neil McGarva (Kilmalcolm) and Colin Halcrow (Windyhill), Colin Mavor (Elgin) finished in 5th place only 2.75 points behind.
