Stewart Henderson (Hamilton) is the new SSGS Matchplay Champion after overcoming holder Ronnie Clark (Erskine) 3&2 in this afternoon's final. A fuller report will be updated later.
12th July: In this mornings semi finals, 2 close matches were played out. Defending champion Ronnie Clark defeated Norman Dyce by 1 hole, and the same margin emerged in the 2nd match, with Stewart Henderson emerging winner against Paul Moultrie.
DENIS McQUADE WINS SUPER SENIORS MATCH-PLAY. Denis overcame defending champion George Rodaks this morning in a keenly contested final. The match was close all the way with Denis taking a 1 hole lead into the 18th. He held his nerve to win th ehole and the match, 2 Up. Well played and congratulations to Denis, and hard luck George.

11th July: in this morning's 2nd round, top seed Ronnie Clark progressed to the 1/4 finals with a 4&3 win over Alan White. 2nd seed Ian Brotherston exited the competition after losing to Greg mackie by 2&1. Other winners were Roy Lumsden, Norman Dyce, Phil Dempsey, Richard Johnston, Paul Moultrie and Stewart Henderson.
In the afternoon Quarter Finals, Ronnie defeated Roy 4&3, Norman edged out Phil by 2 holes, Richard overcame Greg 4&3 and Stewart Henderson continued to have a run of close matches, getting th ebetter of Paul by 1 hole.
Semi-finals tomorrow morning are Ronnie v Norman and Richard v Stewart.
In the Super Seniors, after today's semi-final, Denis Mcquade and curent holder George Rodaks will contest the final tomorrow after defeating David Nelson and Alex Hogg respectively.
Quarter finals scores will be updated later.
10th July: Top seeds Ronnie Clark and Ian Brotherston progress to 2nd round, although in tight matches Ronnie was taken to 20th hole by David Hart. All other scores have been updated and can be viewed on link below.
In Super seniors the semi finals tomorrow will be between David Nelson & Denis McQuade, and holder Gerorge Rodaks and ALex Hogg
Ronnie Clark and Ian Brotherston share top spot in qualifying event on 141, with Ronnie taking top seeding as a result of countback.
