Conditions of Membership
- Members agree to be bound by the constitution and rules of the Society
- Application for membership will be accepted from players with handicaps not exceeding the maximum at time of application- currently 9.4
- Annual Subscriptions are due annually by 31st January
- The Society's Regional and Match Play competitions are "Open" and, in the event of entries beyond the maximum, will be subject to ballot
- Entries for the strokeplay events will be open to players age 50 and above as at the closing date for the competition.
- Entries from players aged 50-54 will not exceed 20% of the maximum field in any strokeplay event
- Where a ballot requires to be introduced for a strokeplay event, this will be conducted on two levels, under 55 and 55 and over. The ballot will ensure that the maximum 20% of the field is under 55 and will, in the event of call offs, replace like for like unless the next lowest handicap on the reserve list is over 55.
- The committee will, at its discretion, adjust the maximum handicap permitted for new applicants
- Where an entrant is unable to take his place in an event he must notify his withdrawal as soon as is possible. Where an entrant fails to turn up without reasonable explanation he will be subject to a period of suspension from future events at the discretion of committee.
- Standard of behaviour when at our host clubs must at all times respect the traditions of those clubs and be in line with the high standards expected of reputable and experienced senior amateur golfers
