Eating- good variety. The Aurora is an italian restaurant within a small hotel and provides consistently good pasta. The Al Raj Tandoori in Harbour Street is a stop for curry enthusiasts. The Classroom in Cawdor Street is very popular and offers good variety.

Pubs etc. The Caledonian is a large howf on the High Street. Plenty of room to spread out and a good selection of ales. The Shore Inn is a decent harbourside pub with many tales from the sea.

Gailes (Irvine, Troon) The Gailes Lodge is offering good early booking rates and overlooks the course. Best for food- plenty of it and good value- is the Ship Inn in the  Irvine Harbourside.
