Duff House Royal- North Seniors Open Duff House suffered extreme conditions over the winter months and staff worked miracles to get the course in shape for the centenary celebrations includimg our participation. The picture below is slightly tongue in cheek but the water level is for real!
The Glen G.C. The Glen is jointly hosting the new Autumn Doubles, sponsored by Tullibardine Distillery. North Berwick is a venue steeped in golfing tradition and the club, with its showpiece new clubhouse, is looking forward to welcoming our members. SSGS Member and Club Captain Mike Currie has organised for all SSGS members to receive the members visitor rate of £10 for the month of August. Obviously subject to availability and must be pre booked. SSGS membership cards will also be required to be shown. Each member will be allowed to purchase two green fees. The writer is hooked on the exquistite full beef burgers in the clubhouse but, if you have had a bad day and want to get away from golf there are good eateries in the town. Jolly's Hotel in Broughty Ferry is only minutes away. Derek, your host, is an avid golfer and has offered us B & B facilities single rooms at £40 and twins for £60 (normally £49 and £65) subject to availability. The Shore Inn is a decent harbourside pub with many tales from the sea. |
